About us

The Organization for Youth Education and Development (OYED) was formally launched on March 9th, 2013, parallel to the Berlin International Economics Congress 2013.

The OYED operates under the legal framework of the Institute for Cultural Diplomacy, and is organized with the support of national governments, the private sector, civil society, and relevant stakeholders in the field. The Organization’s fundamental objective is to promote youth education worldwide through the strengthening of skills, capacities, and knowledge of young people, thereby enhancing both their professional and personal development.

The OYED’s main priority lies in empowering young people, and creating leaders who will be the driving force of change and innovation in our world. The educational and development programs are not solely aimed at lowering youth and graduate unemployment, but also to enabling young people to become more active citizens of their own country and the global community at large.

At present, the OYED has secured partnerships with four Member Countries, namely, the Republic of Burundi, the Republic of Indonesia,  the Kingdom of Morocco, and Romania. Over the course of this year, the Organization will implement a range of projects both in Berlin and other host countries. The OYED’s activities will concentrate on five main areas, as follows:

  • International Conferences
  • Career Center
  • Training Courses for Youth and Young Professionals
  • Comprehensive Nation Branding Campaign
  • Young Leaders’ Forums

The OYED is currently engaged in developing partnerships with other national governments, and over 50 countries are expected to join by the end of 2013.
